About Brunelle's Inspection Services, LLC

Dan Brunelle's | Brunelle'ss Inspection Services LLCMy name is Dan Brunelle, and I have lived in Maine my entire life. I went to Cony High School, which is where my interest in carpentry started. I joined the workforce straight out of high school. Eventually, I got a job at a local wool mill. When the mill shut down, I decided to go back to school. I got my class A license with all endorsements and started truck driving, both over the road and local. I always kept carpentry as a hobby throughout my career as a truck driver, knowing a carpenter was who I am. I wanted to do more and serve my community, so I attended Kennebec Valley Community College in Fairfield, Maine and completed their paramedic course. During this time, I continued to do carpentry when time allowed.

At that time, I had several friends who owned their own carpentry businesses; I would often work for them while becoming a paramedic. Between working for them and going to school, I would take odd jobs remodeling homes. Fortunately for me, Word of Mouth spread, and I became busier and busier with carpentry. A big part of being a contractor is learning local building codes, so I spent a lot of time learning them. One by one, as jobs came, I learned the local building codes for the towns around me.

Unfortunately, due to several injuries and resulting surgeries, I found myself in a position where I could no longer keep up with the fast pace of a contractor’s workload. However, through buying and reselling properties, I met a gentleman in the real estate business who simply said “you would make a great home inspector. You should become a home inspector, your talent is needed.”

After some deep consideration, I decided it was time to go back to school to become a home inspector. I asked him many questions about the qualities that would make a great home inspection business. I also asked him what is lacking in home inspection businesses in our area. Simply put, he said go to a proper school, get proper training, and offer all aspects of the home inspection. This includes home inspections, radon detection, water testing and drone photography. Having a company that offers all aspects is what he felt was needed in this area. I took his advice to heart and signed up at Arthur Gary School of Real Estate in Westbrook Maine for my home inspection certification. I also signed up at University of Maine in Augusta for my FAA drone pilot license class, and at Rutgers University, Environmental Science, of New Jersey for my radon class and certification.

All this has led me to this very fulfilling career of helping people understand the home that they are intending to purchase by uncovering hidden damage and flaws that most people would overlook in a home buying situation. My job is not to scare you away from any home that you intend to buy. My job is to educate you on the different aspects of the property you intend to purchase. I look deep into the structure of a home to give you a full report on the condition of the home you intend to buy. With years of carpentry experience, I fully understand that almost all issues of a home can be repaired. The question is whether you, as the home buyer, are fully informed about the property maintenance and repairs needed on any particular property you are interested in?

And that is where Brunelle's Inspection Services will come in and give you a full, unbiased report as to the condition of the property and any repairs needed. You will receive a legible, easy to understand report, complete with pictures and diagrams and descriptions of everything found in your inspection. I want you to be fully informed so that you can make an educated decision on whether or not purchasing this property is the appropriate decision to make for you and your family.
